WARM UP QUESTION
How do you personally evaluate whether a website or news source is trustworthy? [Today we are to look at whether or not the Bible is trustworthy]
HEAD: These questions help us examine the Word.
1. Read Psalm 19:7-9, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Luke 1:1-4, and 2 Peter 3:15-16. What does the Bible claim about itself?
2. What evidence did you hear on Sunday that was helpful? Did you hear something new or something that stood out to you?
3. What is the relationship between evidence and faith?
HEART: These questions help us wrestle with what we believe.
4. Was there a time in your life where you “deconstructed” the Bible to test whether it was true?
- If someone were to ask you: “Why do you trust the Bible?” What would you say?
HAND: These questions help us bring truth and beliefs into our everyday life.
6. What questions do you still have about the Bible and how might you further explore these questions?
