A Place Where the Humble Are Exalted

Luke 14 has been called one of the most counter-culture chapters in the Bible. We are a society that loves to look out for No. 1. But in this passage, Jesus warns against self-centeredness and promotes humility. First Church should be a church where the humble are exalted. From this passage, let’s notice three expectations that will help guide our church on this path of humility.

I. Be

     5.  Be considerate of others – “But his type isn’t welcome here.”

III. Be
