Day 144 - Why Salvation?
Paulette Baker
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.” - John 3:16 NASB
Now that we’ve discussed what salvation through Jesus is, let’s discuss why salvation is important and why it’s so powerful. Salvation, as aforementioned, is protection and deliverance from harm, ruin, or loss. More specifically, salvation through Jesus Christ is deliverance from sin, its consequences, and death.
One could say there are many reasons for salvation, but the most evident is that God loves us so much that He never wants to be separated from us ever again. We see in John 3:16 that God gave His Son, Jesus, to keep us from perishing. Through salvation and its power, we can have eternal life with God, never being separated from Him ever again! This is the plan He has set in place to redeems us from the curse of sin and death and guarantee us an eternal resting place in heaven.
This Salvation sets us free from the grip of sin and gives us power to live victoriously, knowing that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love again (Romans 8:38-39)!
Next Steps

- Think about it: How do I know that nothing will ever separate me from God?
- Action Step: Write out Romans 8:38-39. Underline all the things that will never separate us from God!
