We are celebrating downtown because our final inspection passed and we now have 2nd floor occupancy! Children’s ministry and Celebrate Recovery will now be firing on all cylinders as they meet each week in that space. So join us in thanking the Lord and also in thanking everyone who went the extra mile to unload and install the final appliances and countertops - it was no small task!
Crossroads will be a host site for the Right Now Media Men’s Conference on Friday evening, August 20th. You can learn more about the event and sign up here.
Serving is one of the most rewarding ways to get involved at Crossroads. That’s why we talk about how we are blessed to bless others. If you would like to know more about serving in a specfic area of the church, check out: ecrossroads.org/serve
Crash Course is a 4-week setting designed to help you connect and grow at Crossroads. The Crossroads App is the easiest way to connect with our church. Get quick access to sermons, prayer, giving, push notifications, event signups, and much more!

Firing On All Cyclinders: Serving
I
Galatians 5:13
13 For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
1. Serving others is life
Mark 10:43-45
43 But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else. 45 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
John 13:1-5
1 Before the Passover celebration, Jesus knew that his hour had come to leave this world and return to his Father. He had loved his disciples during his ministry on earth, and now he loved them to the very end.
2 It was time for supper, and the devil had already prompted Judas, son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. 3 Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God. 4 So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, 5 and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel he had around him.

John 13:7-11
7 Jesus replied, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.” 8 “No,” Peter protested, “you will never ever wash my feet!”
Jesus replied, “Unless I wash you, you won’t belong to me.”
9 Simon Peter exclaimed, “Then wash my hands and head as well, Lord, not just my feet!”
10 Jesus replied, “A person who has bathed all over does not need to wash, except for the feet, to be entirely clean. And you disciples are clean, but not all of you.” 11 For Jesus knew who would betray him. That is what he meant when he said, “Not all of you are clean.”

John 13:14-15
14 And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet. 15 I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you.

John 13:16-17
16 I tell you the truth, slaves are not greater than their master. Nor is the messenger more important than the one who sends the message. 17 Now that you know these things, God will bless you for doing them.
