The
God’s Big Story
What was God doing before
“Father, you loved me before the creation of the world.” (John 17:24, NIV)
“I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me.” (John 14:31, NIV)
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen. (2 Corinthians 13:14, NKJV)
Why did God create the heavens and the earth and all of us?
Why did God
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. (John 1:1, 14, NIV)
God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. (1 John 4:9-10, NLT)
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8, NIV)
See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! (1 John 3:1, NLT)
For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. (Romans 5:5, NLT)
The Christmas Story is a story of love
How silently, how silently the wondrous gift is given
Cast out our sin and enter in, be born in us today
O come to us, abide with us, Our Lord Immanuel
