Servants of God!

Mark 10:42-45

“When the ten disciples heard this, they began to be indignant with James and John.” (Mark 10:41, CSB)

“42 Jesus called them over and said to them, “You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in high positions act as tyrants over them. 43 But it is not so among you. On the contrary, whoever wants to become great among you will be your servant, 44 and whoever wants to be first among you will be a slave to all. 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:42-45, CSB)

“There are just two choices on the shelf, pleasing God or pleasing self.” ~ Ken Collier

“45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

“For those He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son…” (Romans 8:29, CSB)

“43…whoever wants to become great among you will be your servant, 44 and whoever wants to be first among you will be a slave to all. 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve…”

“Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1)

“45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

“18 Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.” (1 Peter 1:18-19, ESV)

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9, CSB)

“Repent and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins” (Acts 2:38, CSB)

“Jesus Christ, who had all the power in the world, saw us enslaved by the very things we thought would free us … He laid aside the infinities and immensities of His being and, at the cost of His life, paid the debt for our sins, purchasing us the only place our hearts can rest, in His Father’s house. Knowing He did this will transform us from the inside out.” ~ Timothy Keller

“4 Make your ways known to me, Lord; teach me your paths. 5 Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; I wait for you all day long.” (Psalm 25:4-5, CSB)

“God, create a clean heart for me and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” (Psalm 51:10, CSB
