God Streaks in Prayer

How valuable something is determines how consistent you will be to it

I get up early in the morning to pray to you.
    I trust what you say.
Late into the night I stay awake
to think about your word. —Psalm 119:147-148 (ERV)

Jesus often went away to other places to be alone so that he could pray. —Luke 5:16 (ERV)

The next morning Jesus woke up very early. He left the house while it was still dark and went to a place where he could be alone and pray. —Mark 1:35 (ERV)

After He had dismissed the crowds, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. When it was evening, He was there alone. —Matthew 14:23 (AMP)

In these days he went out to the mountain to pray, and all night he continued in prayer to God. —Luke 6:12 (ESV)

prayers

He told them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”

Then he returned to the disciples and found them asleep. He said to Peter, “Couldn’t you watch with me even one hour? Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!” —Matthew 26:38-41 (NLT)

prayers

Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” —Acts 3:6 (NIV)

- All

prayers

Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. —1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NLT)

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. —1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (ESV)

-

prayers

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. —Philippians 4:6-9 (NLT)
