Glory to God Forever
Verse 1:
Before the world was made
Before You spoke it to be
You were the King of Kings
Yes You were, yes You were
And now You’re reigning still
Enthroned above all things
Angels and saints cry out
We join them as we sing
Chorus:
Glory to God
Glory to God
Glory to God forever
Verse 2:
Creator God You gave me breath
So I could praise
Your great and matchless name
All my days, all my days
So let my whole life be
A blazing offering
A life that shouts and sings
The greatness of our King
Bridge:
Take my life and let it be
All for You and for Your glory
Take my life and let it be Yours

Matthew 5:1-16
When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and after He sat down, His disciples came to Him. He opened His mouth and began to teach them, saying, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. “Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

All the Poor and Powerless
Verse 1:
All the poor and powerless
And all the lost and lonely
And all the thieves will come confess
And know that You are holy
And know that You are holy
Chorus 1:
And all will sing out
Hallelujah
And we will cry out
Hallelujah
Verse 2:
All the hearts who are content
And all who feel unworthy
And all who hurt with nothing left
Will know that You are holy
Bridge:
Shout it
Go on and scream it from the mountains
Go on and tell it to the masses
That He is God
Chorus 2:
And we will sing out
Hallelujah
And we will cry out
Hallelujah
And we will sing out
Hallelujah

Sermon Notes:
“A Prayer for FBC”
Ephesians 1:15-19
I. A Commendation Before Praying, vv 15-16.
II. A Prayer for Knowledge, vv 17-19.
—What “knowledge” means:
—Three things to know:
APPLICATIONS FOR LIFE:
The Greatness of Our God
Verse 1:
Give me eyes to see
More of who You are
May what I behold still my anxious heart
Take what I have known
And break it all apart
You my God are greater still
Chorus 1:
And no sky contains
No doubt restrains all You are
The greatness of our God
I spend my life to know
And I’m far from close to all You are
The greatness of our God
Verse 2:
Give me grace to see
Beyond this moment here
To believe that there is nothing left to fear
And that You alone
Are high above it all
You my God are greater still
Bridge:
And there is nothing
That could ever separate us
There is nothing
That could ever separate us from Your love
No life, no death
Of this I am convinced
That You my God are greater still
Chorus 2:
And no words could say
Or song convey all You are
The greatness of our God
I spend my life to know
And I’m far from close to all You are
The greatness of our God
