Love Unlocked

Introduction

LOVE is a !

19 We love each other because He loved us first. —1 John 4:19 (NLT)

How To Unlock Love…… Choose To

L – From Last Place

3 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves. —Philippians 2:3 (NASB)

O - Yourself

8 Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Go back to your mothers’ homes. And may the Lord reward you for your kindness to your husbands and to me. 9 May the Lord bless you with the security of another marriage.” Then she kissed them good-bye, and they all broke down and wept.
10 “No,” they said. “We want to go with you to your people.”
11 But Naomi replied, “Why should you go on with me? 12 No, my daughters, return to your parents’ homes.
14 And again they wept together, and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law good-bye. But Ruth clung tightly to Naomi. 15 “Look,” Naomi said to her, “your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods. You should do the same.”
16 But Ruth replied, “Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. 17 Wherever you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord punish me severely if I allow anything but death to separate us!” —Ruth 1:8-17 (NLT)

V - Your Love Interest

10 Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. —Romans 12:10 (ESV)

E – The Moment

9 Live happily with the woman you love through all the meaningless days of life that God has given you under the sun. The wife God gives you is your reward for all your earthly toil. —Ecclesiastes 9:9 (NLT)

Conclusion

4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. —1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NLT)

My Next Step

  1. Evaluate the Love Interest in my life, past and present, how did I unlock love and where did I fail to do so?
  2. How does God demonstrate love unlocked in my life and how do I respond to Him choosing to love me despite me?
  3. Attend Wednesday Morning Prayer Gathering and Thursday Lunch Time Bible Study.(here)
