Message Summary
Freshwater’s vision is to bring life. Our mission is to make disciples, and our core values which reflect our priorities are to be real, relevant, relational, inspiring, and generous. Jesus gives all believers the mission to make disciples. That is, courageously sharing the life-changing love of Jesus Christ in a real, relevant, and relational manner.
The Bible is the most relevant book ever written. It speaks to every modern issue. Freshwater wants people to go deep in their understanding of scripture and wide in their reach and application of scripture. It’s not either or it’s both and. Freshwater believes that relationships are important to spiritual growth. Everyone needs someone to talk to. As a church, we want to inspire people by living out our faith. We want inspiring worship, messages, and kid’s ministry and student ministry. Jesus personified generosity when He held nothing back. When we understand who we are and what God has given to us, we naturally respond in gratitude and embrace our responsibility to follow Jesus.
How did God speak to you in the message Sunday? Was there anything you didn’t understand?
Share a positive time you experienced community (e.g., sports team, family, church, etc.). What are some of the upsides of having community? What are some of the risks?
