REOPENING OUR CHURCH CAMPUS
Sunday, October 4th. Two worship experiences at 8:30am and 10:30am.
Three goals for when we reopen…
1. Our time together will be SPIRITUALLY SIGNIFICANT
2. Our facility will be SANITIZED
3. I want people will be SAFE
Visit www.cccofgod.org/covid-19 or the Cooper City Church of God app to learn about the many ways that the leadership team is committed to make sure we are in a safe, yet welcoming environment both for people AND the presence of God.
Jesus taught us to pray.
Matthew 6:5-13 MSG
5 “And when you come before God, don’t turn that into a theatrical production either. All these people making a regular show out of their prayers, hoping for stardom! Do you think God sits in a box seat?
6 “Here’s what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won’t be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace.
7-13 “The world is full of so-called prayer warriors who are prayer-ignorant. They’re full of formulas and programs and advice, peddling techniques for getting what you want from God. Don’t fall for that nonsense. This is your Father you are dealing with, and he knows better than you what you need. With a God like this loving you, you can pray very simply. Like this:
Our Father in heaven,
Reveal who you are.
Set the world right;
Do what’s best—
as above, so below.
Keep us alive with three square meals.
Keep us forgiven with you and forgiving others.
Keep us safe from ourselves and the Devil.
You’re in charge!
You can do anything you want!
A WARRIOR IN PRAYER
YOU CANNOT FIGHT VICTORIOUSLY UNTIL YOU ARE FITTED WITH THE ARMOR OF GOD.
Ephesians 6:18 NLT
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
In order to be Christians who are going to REACH, INSPIRE and DEVELOP people to TRANSFORM the world, then we must be people of prayer.

Why prayers are sometimes hindered
1. Lack of fellowship with God and His Word. (John 15:7; Proverbs 28:9; Psalm 1:1-3)
2. Not seeking to please the Lord. (1 John 3:22)
3. Prayers of self-indulgence (James 4:3)
4. Wavering faith (James 1:6-7)
5. Unconfessed sin (1 Peter 3:12; Isaiah 59:1-2)
6. Unforgiveness (Matthew 6:11-12; Mark 11:25; Ephesians 4:31-32)
7. Lack of perseverance (Galatians 6:9; Matthew 7:8)
8. Stinginess/selfishness (Proverbs 21:13)
9. Improper relations between husband and wife (1 Peter 3:7)
10. Idols in the heart (Ezekiel 14:3)
James 5:16 TLB
Admit your faults to one another and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous man has great power and wonderful results.
Ephesians 6:18
“Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion.”
Pray always.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 (New King James Version)
pray without ceasing,Pray In The Spirit
Romans 8:26-27 (New International Version)
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.Pray with Perseverance,
Prayer is not getting man’s will done in heaven; it is getting God’s will done on the earth.
Prayer should be our first response, not our last resort.
Ephesians 6:12 ESV
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
2 Chronicles 7:14-15
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.
