Day 26: Living with the End in Mind

End times can illicit many emotions and stir up many questions. The book of Revelation is first and foremost good news for those that follow Christ. It is said to be a blessing to those who read it. Focusing on end times should be an exercise that provides followers of Christ with motivation to fully embrace Jesus, His message and His mission!

Q: What description most accurately describes your response to the book of Revelation? 1. Scared of it? 2. Confused by it? 3. Preoccupied with it? 4. Other?

Q: Why do you think we, others, get preoccupied with predicting the ‘when’?

Q: Who is blessed by this revelation? In what ways could this book be a blessing? How does this understanding expand the theme and purpose of the book?

Q: What does Jesus do for believers as described in these verses? (v4-8)

Q: If are ready for the end of your world you will be ready for the end of the world….what does it mean to be ready for the end of your world?

Q: What pictures of Jesus do we find in Revelation Chapter 1? How are these pictures different than our normal picture of Him? Which picture of Jesus found in Rev. Chapter 1 personally speaks to you and why?

Q: How did John react to what he had experienced? How did Jesus respond to his reaction? What comfort do we find that is offered in Christ’s words to John?
