Whose influence has been most meaningful in your faith? What did their influence look like?
Read 2 Timothy 1:3-14. What do we learn in these verses about Paul’s relationship with Timothy?
In vs. 3-5, Paul affirms Timothy, then in vs. 6-8, he exhorts Timothy. What is the value of affirmation in discipling and influencing others? What is the value of exhortation in discipling and influencing others? What should be the balance between affirmation and exhortation?
What do you think it looks like to “fan into flame the gift of God”? What gifts has God given you? In what ways do you fan them into flame?
Who are you demonstrating your faith to? Have you “adopted” anyone in the faith or asked anyone to adopt you?
