2. Why should Christians measure success differently?
3. Read Philippians 3:7-9. How does Paul describe the things he previously used as measures of success?
4. According to Philippians 1:12, what is Paul’s NEW measure of success?
5. Are you going through anything difficult right now? How might you see the gospel advancing through you as a result? If you’re not facing one currently, can you describe a time in the past where God worked through something difficult in your life? What attributes of God were on display?
6. Measuring success in this way means we can actually be “winning” when it feels like we’re losing. How will you use this knowledge to see your trials and suffering differently in the future?
7. What things can we do when going through hard times to ensure our suffering is not wasted, and the gospel actually does advance through those situations?
