The Seed, the Lamb and the Table Part 6

Exodus 12:1-13

Thus far in our study we have seen how God is a covenant keeping God. From Adam, to Noah, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to their descendants (Israel), God has been faithful in keeping His promises (covenants). Today’s message focuses on the unblemished Lamb that was to be slain and the blood placed on the door of all those who would be saved. This is a clear picture of the coming “Seed” of the woman (Yeshua HaMashiach) who would die for the sin of the world (for His blood covers a multitude of sins).

NOTE: The requirement of lambs blood that was given, was based on the context of individual families in their homes. If there was a family who could not afford a lamb they would share with the closest family to them. The food had to be prepared a certain way and the blood from the lamb had to be placed over the doorposts and on the lintel. This is a clear representation of Christ atoning work.
