Acts 15:36 - And after some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us return and visit the brothers in every city where we proclaimed the word of the Lord, and see how they are.” 37 Now Barnabas wanted to take with them John called Mark. 38 But Paul thought best not to take with them one who had withdrawn from them in Pamphylia and had not gone with them to the work. 39 And there arose a sharp disagreement, so that they separated from each other. Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed away to Cyprus

Jesus, the Suffering Servant, walked a path of grief and anguish of you and you. And now, he is you by his Spirit.

What does this mean for you and for me? It means that when we experience suffering, we can turn to Jesus—who understands suffering from the inside (Philippians 2:5–8; Hebrews 2:18).

It means we can pour out our troubles to one who is a man of sorrows and familiar with grief (Isaiah 53:3).

The Lamb who was slain and resurrected, having triumphed over sin and death, stands ready to pour out grace and mercy in your time of need (Hebrews 4:15–16).
