Blessings despite the imperfect

Through Christ’s work on the cross, you can experience blessings despite dark times and even our own ugly choices. These blessings can be released when we speak blessings over the people around us, and speaking to the mountains, and not about the mountains.
The blessings spoken release powerful positive forces to act on your behalf and release expectation and faith for miracles.

1. Christ has already turned our to blessings

Gen 14:18-20
Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, 19and he blessed Abram, saying, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. 20And blessed be God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand.” Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

Heb 7:9-10
Even Levi, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham, so to speak, 10for he was still in the loins of his father when Melchizedek met him. NKJV

Gal 3:13
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”

Blessings channeled through His priests
Heb 5:6
You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

Blessings channeled from His house
Psa 65:4
Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple.

Psa 118:26
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD. From the house of the LORD we bless you.

Heb 10:25
We should not stop gathering together with other believers, as some of you are doing. Instead, we must continue to encourage each other even more as we see the day of the Lord coming. GW

Q. What are the two key foundation of blessings even in dark times?

Q. How have you experienced blessings through His priests and His house?

2. Speaking blessings releases powerful positive to act on your behalf

Heb 7:1-2
This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him, 2and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything.

Bless eulogeo (yoo-log-eh’-o): To speak well, to call good things to be, to set aside (consecrate), to release favor and prosperity, to make happy, to make whole, praise. Thayer’s Greek Lexicon and Brown Driver & Briggs Hebrew Lexicon

Gen 49:5-8
Simeon and Levi are brothers; instruments of cruelty are in their dwelling place. 7Cursed be their anger, for it is fierce. NKJV
*Cf Gen 34 – why cursed by Jacob*

Jas 1:20
Human anger does not achieve God’s righteous purpose. GN

Rom 8:13

Exo 32:25-26
Moses saw that the people were running wild and that Aaron had let them get out of control and so become a laughingstock to their enemies. 26So he stood at the entrance to the camp and said, “Whoever is for the LORD, come to me.” And all the Levites rallied to him.

Exo 32:29
And Moses said [to the Levites, By your obedience to God’s command] you have consecrated yourselves today [as priests] to the Lord,
that the Lord may restore and bestow His blessing upon you this day. AMP

Gen 28:3-4
“May God Almighty bless you, And make you fruitful and multiply you, 4And give you the blessing of Abraham, to you and your descendants with you … NKJV

Just because you’ve had a bad past, does not mean that you will have a bad future.

If you don’t make mistakes, it shows that you are not trying new things.
When you make mistakes, don’t keep repeating it. If you keep repeating the same mistakes, it shows that you are not learning new things.

2 Chron 30:27
The priests and the Levites stood to bless the people, and God heard them, for their prayer reached heaven, his holy dwelling place.

Q. What is the reason the tribe of Levi despite the curse, made the choice to make a stand to come back to the Lord?

Q. How do previous generation’s blessings affect us?

Q. What blessings can we speak to our future generation?

3. Speak the mountain; not the mountain

Prov 11:11
Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.

2 Thess 2:6-7
And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. NKJV

Prov 18:21
The tongue has the power of life and death,

Mark 11:13-14
Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. 14Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it.

Mark 11:20-22
In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. 21Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!” NIV

Mark 11:22-24
Have faith in God. 23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall SAY unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says. KJV

Speak to the mountain, not about the mountain. Don’t speak words to describe the situation but speak words that change the situation. Don’t speak how big your problem is but speak how big your God is.

Bless every day and live in expectation

Psa 118:24-25
This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. 25Save now, I pray, O LORD;O LORD, I pray, send now prosperity. NKJV

Bless people around you

1 Chron 16:43
Then all the people left, each for his own home, and David returned home to bless his family.

Psa 128:3
Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your sons will be like olive shoots around your table.

Psa 112:2
His children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.

Psa 128:3
Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your sons will be like olive shoots around your table.

Q. What is the reason despite what we hear, we are to speak positive blessings over the city or situation?

Q. What does speaking to the mountain and not speaking about the mountain mean?

Q. What are we to bless everyday? Discuss examples of speaking to the mountain in your workplace or home.

Challenge of the Week

1. Memorize
Psa 118:24-25
This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. 25Save now, I pray, O LORD, I pray, send now prosperity. NKJV

2. Stop speaking about your problems this week. Speak to the mountain of difficulties, instead command them to be removed from the root up in the Name of Jesus.

3. Speak blessings to every new day in this week and speak blessings to the people around you.
Expect God to release positive forces to act on your behalf as you speak blessings with His authority.
