04/03/2022 SEEKING THE SECRET PLACE: WEEK 10
April 3, 2022

But seek first the kingdom of God
and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. —Matthew 6:33

6  Is this not the fast that I have chosen: to  loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?
7  Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; when you see the naked, that you cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh?
8  Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
9 Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’ “If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,
10  If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday.
11  The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
12  Those from among you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In. —Isaiah 58:6 - 12

Church is My Corporate Spiritual Address; My Secret Place is My Personal Spiritual Address.

1. My Secret Dwelling Place is a place of personal communication and revelation.

Logos: The Word of God as a whole to you.

Rhema: A Word of personal revelation; The Word of God to you in a specific season or time in reference to your situation.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations. —Jeremiah 1:5

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. —Psalms 139:13

But not a hair of your head shall be lost. —Luke 21:18

I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. —John 10:14

My sheep hear My voice, and I
know them, and they follow Me. —John 10:27

13  When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
14  So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15  He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16  Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17  Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. —Matthew 16:13 - 17

2. My Secret Dwelling Place is where “I” entertain the intimate presence of God.

For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. —Psalms 84:10

13  Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem.
14  And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
15  So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them.
16  But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him. —Luke 24:13 - 16

28  Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther.
29  But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them.
30  Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.
31  Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight.
32  And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” —Luke 24:28 - 32

3. My Secret Dwelling Place is my safe place.

1  He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2  I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” —Psalms 91:1 - 2

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe. —Proverbs 18:10

Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me. —Psalms 131:2

4. My Secret Dwelling Place is a place of rest in peace.

12  Those from among you shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.
13  If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the Lord honorable, and shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words. —Isaiah 58:12 - 13

9  There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.
10  For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
11  Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. —Hebrews 4:9 - 11

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! —Psalms 46:10

But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. —Isaiah 40:31

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. —John 14:27

5. My Secret Dwelling Place here reminds me of my permanent Spiritual address there… “My Forever Home.”

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. —Psalms 23:6

1  “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
2  In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
4  And where I go you know, and the way you know.” —John 14:1 - 4

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it. —Revelation 2:17
