This is a primary distinction of a healthy church is a spirit-filled church.

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. Acts 2:42–47 (ESV)

DEVOTED – means to continue to do something with intense effort, despite difficulty. The root Greek word is to be strong and courageous. (Cross-References: Romans 12:12, Ephesians 6:18)

Four new building blocks of the Church’s DNA.

Apostle’s Teaching – Learning New Information

Fellowship – Mutual Participation

Communion/Prayer – Worshipping Jesus Christ

Spirit-filled – Unity, Fruits and Gifts

1. Learning New Information

Without new input you will not get new output.

But that is not the way you learned Christ!— 21 assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, 22 to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:20–24 (ESV)

2. Mutual Participation

An association involving close mutual relations and involvement.

“shared conviction that manifests itself as mutual responsibility and status.”

“…that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1:3 (ESV)

How can I help you?

1. Passion and Hunger

You must want the change, growth, development – You must want to follow Jesus.

2. Atomic Habits, a book by James Clear

“little adjustments make a big difference over time.”

Make it Obvious

Make it Attractive

Make it Easy

Make it Satisfying
