BIBLICAL PATTERN: God works miracles in families who trust Him enough to forgive.

¹² And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
¹³ And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
¹⁴ For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. ¹⁵ But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. —Matthew 6:12-15 (NIV)

FORGIVENESS is the conscious choice to give up your right to make the other person pay because you trust God to make things right.

How Does Forgiveness Work in Our Family?

1. We recognize forgiveness is a conviction, not a circumstance.

^3b “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. ⁴ Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.” —Luke 17:3b-4 (NIV)
