It is the purpose of God through the redemption in Christ we should be released from curses and enjoy the blessing. Many people are enduring curses when they should be enjoying blessings.
1Jn 3:8 The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. —1 John 3:8
Blessings are vehicles for good
Curses are vehicles for evil
Both are vehicles of supernatural power

How to be released from any curse:

Gal 3:13 But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”

4. Confess any known sins by yourself or your ancestors.
You are not guilty of your ancestor’s sins but you are affected by them. You are responsible for your own sins. But if your family was into false worship etc. you should acknowledge that this was not the path to God’s blessing.
5. Forgive people (tearing up the IOU)
6. Renounce all contact with the Occult by you or your ancestors. Get rid of it!
7.Remove all contact objects. Items associated with the curse or stronghold.
