I. Resolve to
A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control. —Proverbs 29:11 (LB)
II. Remember the
An angry person stirs up conflict, and a hot-tempered person commits many sins. —Proverbs 29:22
Hot tempers cause arguments. —Proverbs 15:18
… anger causes trouble. —Proverbs 14:29
People with hot tempers do foolish things. —Proverbs 14:17
The fool who provokes his family to anger and resentment will finally have nothing worthwhile left. —Proverbs 11:29 (LB)
III. Reflect before
A stupid man gives free rein to his anger; a wise man waits and lets it grow cool. —Proverbs 29:11
A man’s wisdom gives him patience. —Proverbs 19:11
Ask yourself three questions:

Patience and encouragement come from God. I pray God will help you to agree with each other the way Christ Jesus wants. —Romans 15:5
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience … —Ephesians 5:22
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. —Psalm 51:10
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. —Ezekiel 36:26
