    WARM UP: Have you ever been scammed? How did the truth come out? [Today’s passage shows us how easily Christians can be deceived]


    HEAD: These questions help us examine the Word.
    1. Read Colossians 2:3-23. What are the warnings that Paul gives here, and what are they about?
    2. Where does Paul remind them of their foundation in Jesus?
    3. Pastor Peter said: “If you think you could never be deceived, then there’s probably a good chance you are deceived.” In light of these verses, do you agree with this statement
    4. How do you see the great deception of self-righteousness playing out in our culture?

    HEART: These questions help us wrestle with what we believe.
    5. How do you know when you are being self-righteous?
    6. How can the gospel help you to evaluate and purify your motives?

    HAND: These questions help us bring truth and beliefs into our everyday life.
    7. What does it look like to continue to walk in the truth of the gospel on a daily basis?
