Scripture Reading

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. —1 Corinthians 13:8-13

In heaven…will we

our old lives?

No, because everything we love about the Old Earth will be ours on the New Earth – in one form or another.

“Behold, I make all things new.” —Revelation 21:5

In heaven…what will we

?

We’ll be the very best version of us because we’ll be like Jesus.

“Dear friends, we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.” —1 John 3:2

In heaven…will we be

?

No, because we will be made like Jesus.

In heaven…will we have any

to do?

Yes, it’ll be more fulfilling and creative than anything we do now.

In heaven…what will we

?

“He will wipe every tear away from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, crying or pain.” —Revelation 21:4

Joy, excitement, awe, gratitude, love, peace

In heaven…what will we

?

“Love never fails. But where there are prophesies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, thought like a child, reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror, then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” —1 Corinthians 13:8-12

“And now these three things remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” —1 Corinthians 13:13

We’ll know much, much more, but more importantly, we’ll fully know the love and presence of God.

In heaven…will we know

?

Yes, immediately and completely.

In heaven…will it be

?

No, because Jesus will be there.
