Rooted Plants are Stable

Rooted Plants are Stable

  • Spiritual growth requires multiple ingredients.

Jeremiah 17:8 They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.

  • Generosity – An attitude of generosity of predominately finances but also includes our time talents & things.

 The Rooted initiative is a 24-month commitment to take my next step in Biblical Generosity.
Matthew 13:3 & 7 “Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seeds.” …seeds fell among thorns that grew up and choked out the tender plants.

Matthew 13:22 The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced.

  • Our decisions with time and money can keep us unfruitful.

Matthew 13:44 “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field. In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything he owned to get enough money to buy the field.”

  • Biblical Generosity: It costs so little, to gain so much.

Matthew 13:45-46 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls. When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!”

  • Merchant Principle: Live on the lookout for next step opportunities.

  • Merchant Principle: There are some things worth everything.

  • Merchant Principle: We surrender something of value, yet gain something priceless.
