Key Verses: Galatians 3:10-14; Galatians 3:1-3; Galatians 5:1

  1. Thinking about this week’s message, was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged or confused you?

  2. In which area(s) of your life have you or do you find yourself striving to measure up and earn God’s grace?

  3. Read Galatians 3:10-12 – It’s clear that no one is justified before God through the law. What did you learn from this passage? How does it impact your everyday life?

  4. Read Galatians 3:13-14 – Paul writes of Jesus’ redemptive work and its result (“so that…”). What is most encouraging to you about the promise in these verses?

  5. Read and reflect on Galatians 3:1-3

a. Paul uses some strong words here. What do you imagine was his intended tone?

b. Paul told the Galatians they were acting foolish. What do you see in your own life that Paul might call foolish? What do you think God wants you to know about those areas?

  1. What emotions or thoughts does the idea of “debt forgiveness” through Jesus’ sacrifice bring up in you?

a. What does that reveal about God’s grace and your perception of it?

b. Do any of your perceptions need clarification or correction?

• What is God working on in your heart, or what does he want to work on, that prevents you from receiving his grace in full?

• In what ways is God leading you to respond to his free gift of all-sufficient grace?
