
2 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. —Acts 2:1-4
One of the biggest milestones in God’s Redemptive Plan:
- the Gift of His Indwelling Holy Spirit IN His people.
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. —Acts 2:1
New creation comes by God’s word and God’s Spirit.

“The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” —John 3:8
“Again Jesus said ‘Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me I am sending you.’ And with that He breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit…’” —John 20:21-23
“’This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that Tme,’ declares the LORD. ‘I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God and they will be my people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest.’” —Jeremiah 31:33-34
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and five you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.” —Ezekiel 36:26-27
The Holy Spirit is God’s great enabler.
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. 5 Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. 6 When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. 7 Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? 8 Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language?—Acts 2:4-8
43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and
possessions to give to anyone who had need.46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved—Acts 2:43-47
His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. —2nd Peter 1:3
Pastor’s Challenge:
If you’re not saved from your sins and want the Holy Spirit in your life, repent, believe in Jesus’ resurrection from the dead, confess with your mouth that He is your Lord and the King of your heart
