Tip: The text boxes on the right are there for you to take your own notes as we go.

1. Listen to the Message

1 “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.

2 In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.

3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

4 And you know the way where I am going.”

5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?”

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” —John 14:1-6

The Law of non-contradiction states that “A” and “not A” cannot both be true at the same time.

Religious pluralism generally refers to the belief in two or more religious worldviews as being equally valid or acceptable. More than mere tolerance, religious pluralism accepts multiple paths to God or gods as a possibility and is usually contrasted with “exclusivism,” the idea that there is only one true religion or way to know God.

The

in the world.

By professing belief, we receive rights as children: John 1:12

Other Scriptures for study: 1Peter 2:4, Matthew 5:17, 1John 2:12, Romans 3:22, John 10:9

Every religion but Christianity is based on people’s performance. They must “DO” something to earn favor.
Christians don’t focus on “do”, our emphasis is on “DONE!” —Lee Strobel

11 “But when the king came in to look over the dinner guests, he saw a man there who was not dressed in wedding clothes,

12 and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without wedding clothes?’ And the man was speechless.

13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’” —Matthew 22:11-13

2. Discuss in a Life Group (don’t feel pressured to hit every question!)

1. Tell about an experience you have had with someone who believes “all roads lead to God” or “we are all God’s children”. How did you end the conversation?

2. Why is Jesus being the only way so controversial?

3. How can we combat the deception that people in the world and even the church are under regarding pluralism?

4. In reveiwing the “person” point in the message, which of the points are most impactful for the argument that Jesus is the only way?

5. Discuss why Jesus chose the Way, the Truth and the Life to describe Himself.

6. Why is it not enough to believe that Jesus was just a good person or teacher?

7. What internal questions arise from The Parable of the Wedding Feast?

8. How should a belief that Jesus is the only way to Heaven affect our witness?

9. Have you placed your trust in Jesus and Him alone or are you still depending on yourself, even if it is just a little? Surrender fully to Him today! He is Lord and salvation comes in no other way than by faith through grace. Be sure you have trusted in Him today.

Some pretty staggering statistics were given. Where do you stand in your belief that the Bible is true and without error? Where do you stand on Jesus being the only way? If you aren’t sure, talk with someone today. Literally, your eternal life depends on your answer!
