Hebrews 11:7, By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.
Genesis 6:5, The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time… 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.

How Did Noah Find Favor in God’s Eyes?

Genesis 6:9, This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God… 22 Noah did everything just as God commanded him.

Genesis 7:17, For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth… 19 They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered. 20 The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than fifteen cubits.

The Story of Salvation as Seen in the Ark:

1. Salvation Through Jesus Christ Is

John 10:9, I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

2. Jesus is the Only Way to Real Security and

Mark 4:39, He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. 40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” 41 They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”

3. We Must Come Individually to Christ for

Romans 10:9, If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved… 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

4. Someday, the Door to Salvation Will

2 Peter 3:9, The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Life Lessons From Noah and the Flood:

• It is possible to remain faithful to God in corrupt and sinful times.
• We are all prone to failure regardless of our age.
• God blessed and saved Noah just as he will bless and save us.
