a. What do we learn about Jesus’ purpose for coming from this passage?

b. What is our role in assisting with Jesus’ purpose?

2. Read Matthew 22:37
a. How are we to love God? What part of us is exempt from loving God? Why is this answer so critical? Why is practically living it so difficult?

3. Read Matthew 22:38
a. The lawyer in verse 36 only asks for the greatest commandment; why does Jesus add a second command? In other words, why do these commands have to go together?
