TWO QUESTIONS FROM LAST WEEK:

WHAT WILL THE RESTORATION LOOK LIKE WHEN IT SAYS WE “RULE” OVER ANGELS? WHY WOULD ANYONE RULE BUT GOD?

Don’t you realize that someday we believers will judge the world? And since you are going to judge the world, can’t you decide even these little things among yourselves? Don’t you realize that we will judge angels? So you should surely be able to resolve ordinary disputes in this life. —1 Corinthians 6.2-3

If we endure, we will also reign with him. —2 Timothy 2.12

Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed… but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him…” —Revelation 20.4,6

So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. —Genesis 1.27-28

THE HOPE OF HEAVEN:

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. —Genesis 1.1

Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. —Matthew 6.9-10

THREE WAYS THE BIBLE USES THE WORD “HEAVEN”

  • The created atmosphere and

I’VE READ AND HEARD… ‘TO BE ABSENT FROM THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT WITH CHRIST…’ IS THIS JUST FOR BELIEVERS ONLY? WHERE DO UNBELIEVERS GO? IS HELL THE SAME AS THE LAKE OF FIRE, OR ARE THESE TWO DIFFERENT PLACES?

DO WE SEE THE FACE OF JESUS AS SOON AS WE DIE OR DO WE SLEEP UNTIL THE RESURRECTION?

We are confident that to be absent from the body, [is to be] present with the Lord. —2 Corinthians 5.8

The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side [bosom]…. —Luke 16.22

And he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.” —Luke 23.42-43
