For He satisfies the longing soul,And fills the hungry soul with goodness. —Psalm 107:9

Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him. —John 6:27
Fasting recalibrates you and reminds you of what your heart truly desires.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. —Galatians 5:22 - 25
Fasting communicates to yourself that your flesh is not calling the shots! Anything you get to do on this side of heaven that is sacrificial moves the heart of God and is extraordinarily significant.
My soul longs, yes, even faints for the courts of the LORD; My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. —Psalm 84:2
And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. —Galatians 5:24
Fasting is voluntary weakness that breaks down your resistance to truth!
1 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

4 I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed.
