Waymaker Part 3 Life Group Discussion

Waymaker #3: September 27
- Pastor Mike urged us “to lean into God’s will.” In your own words, tell us what that means. How do you personally live that out?
- In what area of your life do you feel there is a lack? Are you good at thanking God for the little you have? How might your perspective shift if you got into the habit of thanking God for the little that you have?
- Has God ever provided for you in a way you didn’t expect? What happened? How did that experience affect you? Did anything change in you as a result?
- Do you think Andrew expressed faith by offering the fish and loaves, or do you think he expressed doubt by noting there was obviously not enough food to meet the need? What do you imagine was going through his mind and the other disciples’ minds while all of this was taking place?
- In John 6:12 Jesus instructs the disciples to pick up the leftovers so nothing would be wasted. What inferences can we draw from the fact that there were leftovers? Why would someone who could feed 5,000 from 5 loaves and 2 small loaves be interested in packing up the leftovers? Why do you suppose Jesus cared about avoiding waste?
