John 14:1-6 clearly states Jesus is commanding us, “Don’t let your hearts be troubled.” Jamie started his sermon saying how he thinks it is one of the toughest commands to obey from Jesus. He said it’d be a great Easter if we could walk away with a new sense of God’s peace. Jesus showed many reasons for us to not be troubled. List three now.

Jamie said our peace hinges on being confident Jesus rose from the dead, He leads us to Heaven and we know how to get there. Jesus says, “Trust in Me.” Do you trust Jesus with your future? Why or why not? Do you think Jesus deserve your trust? Explain.

Jesus deserves your trust because of His supernatural identity. Jesus was no ordinary man; He was God on earth! Read John 14:9. Jesus deserves your trust because of His perfect integrity. Read Hebrews 4:15. Because of Jesus identity and integrity, does it make it easier or harder for you to trust in Him? Explain.

Jesus deserves your trust because of His amazing power. Read John 14:11 and John 3:2. Time and again we see Jesus amazing power and signs. Does Jesus power excite or scare you? Does knowing how great our Savior is give you a sense of power too? Explain.

Read John 10:18 and Isaiah 53:6. Jesus deserves your trust because of His sacrificial death…. FOR YOU. Read 2 Corinthians 5:21. “No one ever cared for you like Jesus!” What may it look like in giving Jesus your trust? Explain three ways and discuss why it may look different for each person.

Jesus deserves your trust because of His predicted resurrection. Read Luke 24:5-8. Jamie said it best, “If a man can predict His death and beat the grave, He’s able to handle all my problems.” Read Romans 8:34 and John 14:2. Put your hope in Heaven. What do you look forward too most about Heaven? If you had to draw a picture of Heaven right now, what would it look like? Take a pen and paper, draw your image of Heaven, and then read Revelation 21:18-21.

Be confident you’re going to Heaven. Read John 14:4-6 and Matthew 7:13-14. Jamie closed with the A, B, C’s to how to follow Jesus and be confident about eternal life.
- Admit you’ve sinned and separated yourself from God.
- Believe in Jesus as your savior.
- Confess Jesus is the Lord (the leader) of your life.
- Demonstrate your allegiance to Jesus by repenting and being baptized.
Close by reading Acts 2:38 and Romans 6:3-5. Pray God would move in the hearts of those who need Him. Ask God to help you grow into a deeper relationship with Him and many would be saved in His name.
