NOTAS EN ESPANOL

God is Love & God is Good!

God is love and His true nature is good. He doesn’t promise to be good to us because we are good. He promises to be good to us because He is good!

Psalm 33:5 (NKJV) 5 He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

The Goodness of God Explains Everything!

Genesis 50:15-21(NKJV)

15 When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “Perhaps Joseph will hate us, and may actually repay us for all the evil which we did to him.” 16 So they sent messengers to Joseph, saying, “Before your father died he commanded, saying, 17 ‘Thus you shall say to Joseph: “I beg you, please forgive the trespass of your brothers and their sin; for they did evil to you.” ’ Now, please, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

18 Then his brothers also went and fell down before his face, and they said, “Behold, we are your servants.” 19 Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? 20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. 21 Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.

The Goodness of God Surrounds Everything!

Psalm 23:6 (NKJV)

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever. His goodness goes before us and is behind us. His goodness is on our right and on our left. We are surrounded by the goodness of God.

Psalm 5:12(NKJV)

12 For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor [His unmerited goodness] You will surround him as with a shield.

Psalm 23

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.

Isaiah 59:19(NKJV)

19 So shall they fear The name of the LORD from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.

The Goodness of God Frees Us from Everything!

Psalm 27:12-14 (NKJV)

12 Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; For false witnesses have risen against me, And such as breathe out violence. 13 I would have lost heart (despaired), unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living.14 Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!

Romans 8:28(NKJV)

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

The Goodness of God Changes Everything!

Romans 2:3-5(NKJV)

4 Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? 5 But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,

The Goodness of God Restores Everything!

Joel 2:25-27(NKJV)

25 “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. 26 You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the LORD your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame. 27 Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel:
I am the LORD your God And there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame.

Isaiah 61:1-4(NKJV)

1“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, 3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.” 4 And they shall rebuild the old ruins, They shall raise up the former desolations, And they shall repair the ruined cities, The desolations of many generations.

The Goodness of God Provides Everything!

Romans 8:32(NKJV)

32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

He Gives Us Hope for the Future:

Jeremiah 29:11(NKJV)

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

He Gives Us Grace:

James 4:6(NKJV)

6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

He Gives Us Faith:

Romans 12:3(NKJV)

3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

He Gives Us Power:

Deuteronomy 8:18(NKJV)

18 “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

Mark 6:7(NKJV)

And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits.

Luke 9:1(NKJV)

Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.

Luke 10:19(NKJV)

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

He Gives Us Rest:

Deuteronomy 12:10(NKJV)

10 But when you cross over the Jordan and dwell in the land which the LORD your God is giving you to inherit, and He gives you rest from all your enemies round about, so that you dwell in safety,

He Gives Us Food:

Psalm 136:24-25(NKJV)

24 And rescued us from our enemies, For His mercy endures forever; 25 Who gives food to all flesh, For His mercy endures forever.

He Gives Us Sleep:

Psalm 127:2(NKJV)

2 It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.

He Gives Us Victory:

1 Corinthians 15:57(NKJV)

57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

HOW GREAT IS HIS GOODNESS!

Psalm 31:19 (NKJV)

19 Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men!

Psalm 25:6-8 (NKJV)

6 Remember, O LORD, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, For they are from of old. 7 Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; According to Your mercy remember me, For Your goodness’ sake, O LORD. 8 Good and upright is the LORD; Therefore He teaches sinners in the way.

Communion Scriptures:

1 Corinthians 11:23-32(NLT)

23 For I pass on to you what I received from the Lord himself. On the night when he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took some bread 24 and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it.” 26 For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord’s death until he comes again.

27 So anyone who eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily is guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28 That is why you should examine yourself before eating the bread and drinking the cup. 29 For if you eat the bread or drink the cup without honoring the body of Christ, you are eating and drinking God’s judgment upon yourself. 30 That is why many of you are weak and sick and some have even died.

31 But if we would examine ourselves, we would not be judged by God in this way. 32 Yet when we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned along with the world.
